Visual Studio 2005 and TabStrip from Microsoft.Web.U I.WebControls.d ll

Hello,

Can someone confirm whether or not the TabStrip from
Microsoft.Web.U I.WebControls.d ll which worked in VS2003 works in VS2005
or do I have to rewrite my code using the Multiview control which
others have mentioned is similiar.

If it does work, then any tweaking thoughts would be appreciated cause
all I see is the text from my tabstip not the tabstrip itself and there
is functionality behind the text.

Thanks,
Greg

It should be fully compatible. Make sure you have the webctrl_client folder in wwwroot. You might have to reinstall the Webcontrols package.

So has anyone worked with the IE webcontrols much? I've found that they've come in very handy for Internet Explorer clients ... ON A WINDOWS PLATFORM ONLY! I've implemented the tabstrip control and it works out great (again only in IE on a PC). Does anyone have any suggestions for dynamically adapting this control to work with other browsers/platforms? Most specifically Safari on a OS X platform. The whole reason for my usage of this...

I have an application that uses the Microsoft.Web.UI.WebControls.TabStrip and Multipage controls. When I test the app on my pc or on my client's development web servers the controls render properly. When I deploy the app to the test environment - supposedly an exact duplicate of the development environment - the TabStrip and Multipage controls do not render - the text of the tabs are displayed in a line, but no tabs. This is the same...

Hi, I have spent some time trying to get the tabstrip and multipage to work (from the IE web controls). I read the article from: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/workshop/webcontrols/overview/tabstrip.asp On the bottom of the above URL there is a button that says "show me" where you can see the tabstip and multipage in action. On the "show me"

I have Visual Studio .NET and SQL Server Desktop Engine on my computer. I have created an empty database using Visual Studio .NET's Server Explorer. However, I am having trouble connecting to the database using ASP.NET. I think the problem is somewhere in my connection string, but because I do not know much about connection strings, I am not sure what it should look like. Can someone please help me determine what my connection string should...

Hello I've been using the tabstrip and multipage controls and really like the way this combination allows users to switch between tabs without a postback. I'd like to get more detailed information about these controls but can only find basic information on the internet. In particular, I'd like to hide or disable tabs dynamically and I'm not sure how to do this. I'd appreciate any examples or insight.

Hi everybody, I've install Visual studio Team Edition for Testers on my computers, And I can't seem to find how to show the toolbox. The documenation says there should be a 'Toolbox' menuitem under 'view' menu, But I don't have it! This happens both when editing WinForms & WebForms. Thanks, Nadav

I installed visual studio 2005 and created a website. I turned on the forms authentication and allowed the system to create the aspnetdb.mdf file for me under the App_Data directory. Everything works fine locally running the site locally with the sql server express edition. However, when I publish to an IIS site, I can see the login aspx page I created, but can't authenticate. I get an error listed below. Should an IIS server be able...

Hello, I am having a problem that I believe is related to the way a stream reader object looks for a text file by default. What I am doing is using a StreamReader object to read the text of a text file which includes some html code to populate html formatted content as the text of an asp:label (<asp:label>). The reading of the text file itself goes just fine ;however, this only occurs when I use an absolute file path which will not work of...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
