private void Button2_Click(o bject sender, System.EventArg s e) {
XmlTextReader r = new XmlTextReader(S erver.MapPath(" books.xml"));
XmlSchema xs = new XmlSchema();
xs.SourceUri = Server.MapPath( "books.xsd" );

XmlValidatingRe ader v = new XmlValidatingRe ader(r);
v.Schemas.Add(x s);
v.ValidationTyp e = ValidationType. Schema;
v.ValidationEve ntHandler += new ValidationEvent Handler(MyValid ation);
while (v.Read()){
}
v.Close();

public static void MyValidation(ob ject sender, ValidationEvent Args

Reposting due to lack of response - I believe the .Net XmlValidatingReader should fail when validating XML that contains a ComplexType element with white space when the ComplexType element has the mixed attribute set to false in the XSD used for validation. XSD fragment: <xs:element name="TRSellerBuyerData"> <xs:complexType mixed="false"> <xs:sequence>

I am a bit puzzled about the differences between XmlTextReader and XmlValidatingReader. I have been able to successfully load a DataSet object from and XML file via the text reader. However, when I replace it (xtr) by a validating reader (vxtr), the DataSet object is Nothing. No errors have been indicated by the validating reader (and the XML file is valid for its embedded <schema> ). So what gives?

Hi I have a question whether XmlValidatingReader doesn't check keyref constrain (the same with key constraint) or I do smth wrong. I have the following schema <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <xs:schema id="module" targetNamespace="http://tempuri.org/module.xsd"

All, I am having a tough time figuring out how to code a simple app to read an xml file and an xsd file and validate the xml file using the xsd without using a namespace for the schema. Help? Also, is there a .NET XML FAQ? Thanks, Will

The XmlValidatingReader seems to have changed drastically in .Net Frameworks 1.0 SP3 and beyond with regards to validating XML files that are XML Schemas. Consider the following code: --- class ValidatingSchema { static void Main(string args)

I am using an XMLValidatingReader to validate an XML file received via a web service. I want to verify that the incoming file matches the XML schema. When testing the validation routine, the XMLValidatingReader correctly flags mis-matched tags such as <abc>some content</xyz> but does not catch other errors. For example, it doesn't catch tags that are not part of the schema, doesn't catch missing tags where the schema has minoccurs="1", and...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
