I have created a setup project and was able to include the exe as well
as the source code in the install. However, I have been unable to
include the setup project source. Therefore, when I access the
solution after the install, I get an error message stating the setup
project is missing. In the 'Add Project Output Group' dialogue, all my
projects are listed EXCEPT the setup project.
Any ideas?

my application was created in vb.net, vs 2003. the setup project was also
created in vs 2003. one of my application reviewers reported this:
The .Net link that is included in the setup is not the correct link, it's
outdated. The link should be changed from this
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/netdevframework.asp to the new link, which

Hi,
I have a windows application, wherein the solution consists of 5 projects.
When I try to create a setup and deployment project for this solution, I'm
somehow unable to add anything in project output group. I tried creating with
a setup wizard, but it just doesn't give me an option to add projects,
although I was able to add files into the setup. Moreover, creating a normal
setup project also did not help.
I tried to add a new...

Hi,
I have gone the setup project route and added the setup project to my
solution as in the guide. I have checked the dependancy's and they all seem
to be there. Now do I just build the project then move the project files to
CD or am I missing a step? Do I have to be in release mode for my App in
order to do the setup build? How can I check to make sure Framework 1.1 was
installed as well?

I have a C++ COM Addin I wrote for Outlook (2002) using VS.Net 2002. Having
completed it, I am now looking to create a setup project and install it on
another machine.
I created a setup project and added it to my solution (selecting the
"Primary Output" as the files to include from my project). However, when I
attempt to build the setup project (assuming a clean output directory), I
get "Unrecoverable build error" - and NO other...

When I build a setup project, the dependency in the setup project is tied to
the version in which it was built.
Is there a way to build a setup project that can be used in both versions of
the Framework?
There is provision to build the app's .exe so that the .exe can be used in
either version of the framework, is there not a way to do this for the setup
project? I looked at the options, did not find any. Did I miss something?

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
