Crystal Reports does not read tables into the record
source. The only way to set the source is by using
multiple datasets.

rpt.SetDataSour ce(ds1.Tables(0 ))
rpt.SetDataSour ce(ds2.Tables(0 ))

Crazy I know, but that's what you have to do.

Hello I have a simple crystal report. Report is displayed using CrystalReportViewer control in a web form. It works fine. There is one problem with the database connection logic. Whenever I navigate thru' report pages, it creates a new (additional) database connection. Is there any solution to avoid this? The code is - ************************************************************* Private Sub Page_Init(ByVal sender As System.Object,...

I'm developing an application in VS.Net 2003 using C#, which uses Crystal Reports. When creating each report, crystal asks where the database to use is, so I specify our SQL server using the ADO option. The problem is that these database settings seem to get compiled into the report, so when we take the application to our client it won't work on their systems. Before running each report I run some code which is ment to reset the...

I need your HELP! I've seen all the posts on using Crystal Reports within vs.net (vb.net) and changing a SQL query at runtime. When I tried to pass in a dataset into the crystal report at runtime, the report still showed the results from the default query (from within the Crystal Report). Then I tried the XSD solution where you define a dataset (that mataches the database and the Crystal Report) and have the Crystal Report use this....

Hi, I have a project that uses Crystal Reports (VS .Net included) and the System.Data namespace. I've managed to deploy the project and to get Crystal Report working on my clients XP based machines. However, once I try the install the solution on their Win 2000 machines I run into some problems. On some machines the application works but the Crystal Report engine throws an error, on other machines the applications crashes (with the...

I have a C# program that user would select several search criteria and then outputs to the Crystal Report. A message is output to user if no matching record is found. In my code I also clear, removed and dispose of the table in the dataset that was used which should have nothing in it any way. I then clean up the search string that I built at run time. Now in the same screen, user change one of the search criteria and now there are...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
