Restoring php nuke db after crash

Greetings.

I was running PHP Nuke on a Win2k box using Apache2Triad. Fortunately I
backed up the drive using windows backup prior to the hard drive failure.

Now I have installed Apache2Triad on another machine and wish to reimport
the mySQL database that PHP Nuke relies upon. If anyone can tell me how to
do this I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance.

OK. So it seems there is a directory: c:\apache2\mysql\data\nuke which has
mysql tables for nuke. Do I just replace this whole directory with the one
from backup? Or should I replace the whole htdocs directory? Do I need to
stop all mysql and apache services prior to doing this?

I gather that you have a disk image of your mysql database. If so,
then simply create a database with the same name as before, and copy
all the files into it from your backup. Then you would have to repair
all the tables inside, and you are done.

Yair, just replace the data directory (nuke) with the backup. And
then you have to issue mysql "repair" command on all the tables, one
at a time (yikes).

Good idea to shut down mysql as well.
