Mdi forms

Hy everyone,
I want to develop an application which is a judicial file monitoring system and i can't figure out the MDI form .Plz help me n explain to me how to implement it.

1.Create a Main form(Parent Form).
1.Add a window form
2.Set the Property of the form IsMdiContainer=true

3.Add a necessary event to cal the child form from Mainform

bool validated = ValidateChildForm();
if (validated)
{
ChildForm c1 = new ChildForm();
c1.MdiParent = this;
c1.StartPosition = FormStartPosition.Manual;
c1.Location = new Point(0, 0);
c1.Show();

}
2.Create a child form
1.Add a window form
2.Have the neccessary details in the child form
