how to code actions for buttons in netbeans

P: 1
hi everyone. I recently started using NetBeans (v6.5) and though its great for GUIs, the coding itself is way different from what am used to! I had great looking interfaces that have non-funtional buttons. After creating the actions, it opens the source page and every method i try to use in coding is flagged in red and doesn't compile. Does this mean that NetBeans syntax is written in a different way from normal swing-applet coding?

Respectfully... read the documentation.
Second you need to find a tutorial... something along the lines of this one http://netbeans.org/kb/docs/java/qui...Start Tutorial so that you can see some hands on programing.
