I want to make a LAN messenger. I have no idea regarding how to start and how to proceed further. Can you please help me to search for some good source related to this?

Thanks and regards

I'd search sourceforge.net and freshmeat.net by language for programs like this. The programs out there should give you some idea of the different libraries and what they can do.

What is your lan messenger supposed to do? Broadcast/send messages from
one node to other node(s) in your lan? All nodes have to be aware of the other
nodes then. All the (other) nodes have to be aware that some node can push
a message to them. Maybe you can start there. Have a look at multicasting
methods and what they can do for you.

kind regards,

Jos
