I have an error message that is "HttpServletRequest cannot be resolved to a type" in an Action class. But the application runs without any error. What is the problem..

If your compiler whines that bad, it doesn't generate a .class file for that source
file. If your application still runs "fine" (mind the quotes) that implies that that
particular class isn't needed by your application or a previous .class file still
exists somewhere. I suggest a clean build, i.e. throw away all the .class files
and rebuild your entire application.
