  1. public class Kwiaty {
  2.     private List<Kwiat> lista_kwiatow = new ArrayList<Kwiat>();
  3.     RozaCzerwona roza_czerwona = new RozaCzerwona();
  4.     RozaBiala roza_biala = new RozaBiala();
  5.     RozaZolta roza_zolta = new RozaZolta();
  6.     lista_kwiatow.add(roza_czerwona);
  7.     lista_kwiatow.add(roza_biala);
  8.     lista_kwiatow.add(roza_zolta);
  9. }
  10.
why eclipse highlights
lista_kwiatow.add(roza_czerwona);
lista_kwiatow.add(roza_biala);
lista_kwiatow.add(roza_zolta);
as an error i need to add to the list objects of class Kwiat cos eg RozaCzerwona inherits from class Roza and Roza inherits from abstract class Kwiat

A class just constists of a bunch of declarations; whether they'll be methods
or members, static or not. Declarations can be initializers. At a class level
(syntactically speaking), no statements nor expressions are allowed and that's
what you just did.

Lucky for you a block { ... } is considered an (class or instance) initializer so
you could put your 'add' methods in such a block and you're in business.

kind regards,

Jos
