There are many websites and a lot of online help available for Java.

For starters you can take a look at the classes posted at our very own Java forum here and then have a read at this thread.

Finally someone suggests those classes, I wonder if anyone ever reads them. For an external one you can use the tutorial on the sun site itself.

Actually r0, everyone wants to get their hands on all possible resources and are looking to learn everything as quickly as possible, majority of subscribers come, get their queries solved and hardly go through the rest of the forum.

Not all Java posters know that there is a very good tutorial going on here itself and are more inclined towards online books and sites dedicated especially to Java and basically look at our forum just as a means of getting help with their programming or code related doubts!

In fact I joined TSDN almost a month ago but was unaware of the tutorial until I read about it in some other post! Could be because of the title..'Java Classes', I guessed it to be some post related to Java classes..I mean ..those inside the packages...

Yeah, I'm trying to give back a little but I had no clue about a tutorial on this website, I try not to just take information, I don't know much about java but the little I do know I try to help with, heh.

Thats a very nice gesture JavaStudent!! Keep it up!

Even I am still in the learning phase but just by going through the Java-posts and their solutions provided by the r0,Ganon11,horace1 and other experts teaches me a lot of stuff.

And well, as far as replying to Java queries is concerned..what can I say..I consider myself a beginner, I do try sometimes when I am free, but it will take me a long long time before I can even think of becoming half as good and quick as the experts that we have !

Three cheers to all the Java forum and TSDN experts for their time and efforts!! You guys rock!

Every bit helps. I haven't studied programming nearly as long as some of the other experts, but what I know, I share. That's really the point of TSDN. It's there to help people, and while one person is being helped, he/she can help others. It's a cooperative learning experience. Trust me, I'm learning a lot about programming from the other people here as well.

And we all started as a beginner, so don't feel discouraged!

Thank you!

Your words are very optimistic and encouraging..another reason I enjoy surfing through TSDN..the experts are just fantastic!I like not only the way they solve the queries but the way they always try to keep everyone's spirits high!

Cheers :)

Lol, this thread started as a question about tutorials, now we are telling each other how little experience we have in java, nice transition :)

P.S. Call me steve, not javastudent, just future reference :)
