Is Possible to alter the "disabled" style?

Hi,

Is Possible to alter the "disabled" style?

I have got

<input name="test" value="1" disabled>

This makes the input field gray and shadow.

Is it possible to alter the style so that I can define how the disabled is shown?

Theory:

input[disabled] { }

Practise:
Won't work in MSIE (boo hiss evil Microsoft).
Untested in other browsers (most support attribute selectors, I don't know
about styling of disabled form elements).
