Centering an image in a div

I'm having problems with using CSS to centre an image inside a div. At
http://geoffsoper.co.uk/photos/admin...php?page=photo I would like
the thumbnails to be vertically and horizontally centered within the
'thumbnail_holder' div. Currently I can't get the images to centre
vertically. A friend suggested I need to use display:table-cell to get
vertical-align:middle to work but this still doesn't seem to work in
MSIE (Mozilla is OK). The CSS file is at
http://geoffsoper.co.uk/photos/admin/admin_style.css

Any suggestion gratefully received (along with any comments on my
Stylesheet as it is so far)(or anything else about the page if you
fancy going a critique ;-) )

Thanks,
Geoff
