CSS software tools sought

The TopStyle people seem to have lost interest in their product. It
does not work in Vista. I would like to find a
replacement/replacement that did the following

1. let me compose CSS using a checkbox style where the field names are
already present and that does some minimal editing on field values.

2. tidier that reorder in some standard order and pretties up.

3. finds illegal class tags in my markup

4. finds orphan unused classes/properties in my style sheet

5. validates syntax strictly

6. shows me colour swatches of chosen colours.

7. lets me pick colours by hex, decimal, RGB, HSB or swatch and maybe
even by eyedropper from some other app.

8. validates that fonts exist on my machine.

9. validates that images mentioned exist on my machine.

10. validate embedded styles in my HTML.

There's more than one "right" way to do things, at least in most cases.

Then use one of them instead of the wrong way.
Yep, that's what I try to do.

Do you know that over 40% of your visitors have vision problems?
You mean they wear glasses or contacts to correct their vision?

Um, corrective lenses alone do not fix all vision problems.

That's not supposed to matter:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~sbpoley/webmatters/essence.html
What's "suppose" to be and what is are often different!

Anyway, I tried my site in Firefox running in Ubuntu and the text size was
just fine. It was what I would consider the "normal" text size. Visually the
same size as google.com, mozilla.com, yahoo.com, microsoft.com, ubuntu.com,
and others.

So I don't see any issues worth "fixing". Sure, a very small number of
people may have issues, but to make things worse by increasing font size to
an unusually larger size for 99% of people to address the <1% of people that
may have an issue with the "small" font size is not practical. That's what
the browser's font-size adjustments are for.

But you surely *implied* it.

Give it up, Albert. Just go sell your funky little program and leave us
alone.

Never is a long time. In the meantime, he might well become a member
that group, the only way most web designers seem to be capable of
getting a clue to the problems their tyranny creates.

Albert does not strike me as a really big offender in this
matter. I mean, there are so many sites that are almost criminal
in this matter. He is positioning himself in the arms race here
and is not leading the charge. He is not "standing on principle"
that are good principles, true. But I doubt his site text
decisions are causing more than a little trouble.

You have all been a bit mean to him! I suspect he is expecting to
see big evidence of a big crime the way he is being rounded on
and is not seeing it. It is a subtler matter than he is
interested in.
