what program cleans up Microsoft Office "HTML" crap

A few years ago, I heard of a program (maybe it is a plugin
for a well-know HTML editor) that cleans up the shit generated
when you save as html from Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, so that
it can be viewed in something other than IE6 ....
but I forgot what it was called.
Any ideas what it is?

I think Tidy can do the job... Maybe some versions of Dreamweaver ?

Try using Word itself. There are some simpler "save as HTML" options in
those dialogs that aren't quite as polluted.

It must be Tidy.

"This option specifies if Tidy should go to great pains to strip out all
the surplus stuff Microsoft Word 2000 inserts when you save Word
documents as "Web pages"
http://tidy.sourceforge.net/docs/qui...html#word-2000

I recommend to use HandCoder 0.3.4 from within KompoZer 0.77 to do that.

http://extensions.geckozone.org/HandCoder/
or

Latest Tidy version:

April 5th, 2006 tidy-exe.zip
