Images in IE??

Hi nubie here
well here goes
I have a music site which looks great in FF, but in IE I can't get the logo to show.
The logo is in the #head section of my css
CSS

I only managed to validate my main xhtml pages after switching to a transitional doctype, this was due to the ad sense code on the pages!!

When I tried to validate the css, it says that overflow-y:auto is not a recognised function - I found this confusing because there are sections of the w3org website dedicated to the "overflow-y" command.

So... two questions: how do I get my logo on an IE browser and is there an alternative command I can use that will give me the same effect, but a Valid CSS?

Regards and much thanks in advance!!
