IE / Moz issue with Absolute position

3 New Member
Could someone have a look at
my flowchart
It looks OK in IE but in Netscape/Moz/Firefox the text <div>s, which are positioned absolutely within a comtaining div which has a background graphic with the empty flowchart boxes, have a vertical displacement of about 30px

I cant spot the problem

Help appreciated

you know, absolute postioning might not work with all monitors,
if you had a 1024x768 monitor, and you absolute postioned it, then some one with a 800x600 came along, it would be way different. I can see that you are not using tables, so you're trying to make this page without HTML Tables?

Yes - I dont like tables for layout - it should be CSS
and - yes - I want it to work in 800*600 res and up

Have a look at this page the rollovers and image positioning is ALL CSS

I suppose I could use the same methods here - but that would mean using
images of the text instead of real text - not impossible - but not the best approach especially if the text changes

go to
w3schools.com
then read what they have on CSS
they cover absolute and relative positioning too

but if all else fails, i guess its ok to use images
