I've been working on this style sheet for some time and the only real
problems that I'm still having are with IE, Form Elements or IE and
Form Elements. =)
It's a style sheet that I call the "equalizer". Basically what it does
is pre-define all of the styles that are important to a HTML/XHTML tag,
which (in theory) should make your site work better across all of the
major web browsers. I have more details on my site along with examples
here:
http://www.tobymiller.com/resources/equalizer.html
If you load one of the examples up in different browsers (like Firefox
and IE) you can see them side by side. Unfortunately, they're still not
close enough.
1. IE doesn't understand [type="button"] syntax so I need to use class
names to distinguish between INPUT tags.
2. I had to remove support for the Q tag because it doesn't seem to
work in IE.
3. IE will not honor a border of 1px for the IFRAME tag unless the
attribute frameborder="0" is added.
4. The forms in general are really close, but I don't understand why I
can't affect the horizontal padding of a button in IE. Is this because
form elements in IE are actually ActiveX or is there a possible
workaround for these CSS properties?
I'm currently focusing mainly on IE, Mozilla and Safari.
