I'm using a nested list as a menu with sub menu items. I used to do it where if you hovered over main menu item, the sub menu items would appear by changing the display from none to block. I decided to make the sub menus looks as if they were dropping down and used CSS transitions. The problem I have is that in the first approach if you...

I don't know why my media queries aren't working. I use them the same way with every app, only this time the media query for desktop devices isn't working. The browsers (getting the same problem in Chrome, IE & FF) get the styles for mobile and tablet devices, but the third media query on my file isn't being applied. I checked the page source...

Is there any way to get rid of html5 errors fast without collapsing or disordering the codes? Or am I just supposed to read and understand every error and think for the solution and correct the errors?

I've recently downloaded a software called Total Validator. And there were too many errors (135 to be specific)in just one page. And it also says "wrong use of href".And my code was like this: <a href="c:\users\user\desktop\page1.htm#top">Go to top</a>.It works fine but the validator says invalid.

My HTML page links to a main "Images" folder. Inside "Images" are folders with PDF documents. How do I link to these folders so that the PDFs can be opened in turn? EXAMPLE: Inside "Images" is the folder "Animals," which houses "Tiger.pdf", "Hippo.pdf", "Frog.pdf" and "Whale.pdf". Thanks.

I'm not sure if this is the problem but i'm assuming it is since the problem occurred only after adding the CSS and JS in the head section of an HTML page. The page has 4 html embedded audio players which looked as styled and worked fine. I then added a slide player called Fancy Box. The CSS and JS files are linked to a separate folder than...

I wrote a program in 1995 that can only be run in DOS. I would like to embed this program in a web page. I'd like several buttons to select options. That's all I want. The program randomly selects one of the bible's 31,102 verses (King James Version) and displays it. When the user clicks on a button it displays another random verse, and so...

I am using a drop-down box that FrontPage builds for you, as a drop down menu. Here is the code FrontPage creates (with values you insert): <form method="POST" action="--WEBBOT-SELF--"> <!--webbot bot="SaveResults" U-File="C:\Users\Douglas\Documents\Test Website\_private\form_results.txt" S-Format="TEXT/CSV" S-Label-Fields="TRUE"...

Hi- I'm fairly amateurish at HTML/CSS/Java, so forgive the ignorance. If I have a main page, and I make a button tab at the top, how do I make that button link to the code of a separate page? I'm not asking about basic linking, rather about how to separate the code from one page to another. (I'm using the software Liveweave, and there doesn't...

I want to load a page using a link and depending on which link I click on, I want to change the margin on the page. If I click on link 1, I want the margin to be 0, but if I click on link 2 I want it to be 350. Is there a way to load a page and set the margin of an element if I know the ID in JavaScript? I'm quite happy to use JavaScript to...
