DB2 Create tablespace performance Linux vs. Windows

I have DB2 V8.2 installed on Windows and Linux on exactly the same
type of server. The Servers are configured exactly alike (memory,
processor, disk).
When I use a create database or create tablespace Windows seems to be
so much faster than Linux. Why ?
