Changing a PACKAGE's BOUNDBY

Friends:

Say a stored procedure (SP) was created by a user no longer on the
project (no lectures about using generic DBA IDs please--you're right).
Is there a way to change the BOUNDBY value for the SP's package,
without dropping and recreating the SP? I've seen the TRANSFER
OWNERSHIP statement in V9, but, alas, we are on V8 (LUW).

Thanks,

--Jeff
