using db2rfpen in DR environment...

Hi there,

I have 2 LUNs , one for data and another for logs.

Currently, I want to implement DR environment. For some reasons I'd
like to implement async mode for data and sync mode for logs. May I do
db2 command db2rfpen & rollforward after switch over to DR site? Is it
stable for production?
Thanks in advance

Have you looked at the DB2 HADR feature, which will automate log
shipping to a DR site?
What are you planning on using to replicate the data?

Hi Sir,

No, I just use EMC's MirrorView/A for data asynchronous and
MirrorView/S for logs synchronous.

Actually, I did the test and it seems feasible. But, I wonder whether
it is suitable for production environment.

Have any comments?

Hi there,

I think db2rfpen is used for off line backup image, and db2inidb is
used for on-line backup image, when someone want to do roll-forward.
For your reference~
