DB2 UDB 8.1 Vs DB2 UDB 8.2

Hi,

Currently I'm using DB2 UDB on 8.1 (Server version) and client version
is 7.1.6.

Please let me know whether there will be any issues in the following
Upgradations.

1. Upgrade client from 7.1.6 to 8.2 and upgrade server from 8.1
to 8.2
2. Upgrade server from 8.1 to 8.2 and no client upgrade
Thanks,
Me

What do you mean by "issues"? You should research these by looking
through the DB2 publications for those release levels including the
release notes, quick beginnings, etc. You might even want to open a PMR
with IBM.

Thanks for the reply Larry.

I meant "Issues" as Problems that will occur when the Upgradation is
made.

I put the message over here because, there will be some experts who had
handled such scenarios and they may come forward with helping hand.

If you upgrade both the clients and servers to 8.1 FP14 (which is 8.2.7),
then it is likely that you will not have any problems, especially if you
read the installation/fixpack readme instructions carefully.
