Restore 8.2

First time DB2 user here.

I have a backup from a unix box around 8.1.
I am trying to restore this backup on a windows box 8.2 (demo version)

I am not sure how the original backup was created but according to the
file path it looks like it is a full backup.

When using the wizards, i cannot seem to view the backup and i have got
several errors trying to use command line.

Is there a compatability issue or am i missing something. I can backup
and restore the sample databases with the wizard just fine (have not
been able to do it via command line).

Any help is much appreciated

Sorry to bear the bad news, but... you can't restore a Unix/Linux backup
onto Windows. :-(

Thanks for the quick response from both of you.
I will try to get the specific OS type and see about creating an
installation to get this database up and running.
