Registry Variables

I'm installing a new database on a new server in RAID 50 that I've not
used before. Windows Server 2003 with all XP clients (that I've not
used before).

While I have checklists for what to do administering a db2 database, I
haven't seen such for installing and configuring one.

To start, when I try to even see all the registry variables (and what
they mean), the Information Center gives me a blank page with the
heading "List of Registry Variables." Not very helpful.

Where can I find all that stuff: variables, what they mean and do, and
suggestions for configuration, in one place?

Don't know about "suggestions for configuration", but you can find a
list with their explanations in the DB2 Admin Guide Performance: Volume
III (appendix A). You can also list them out with "db2set -lr" at the
command line.

Stanley, I believe the following might help
http://www.phptr.com/articles/articl...2608&seqNum=14

You can also go to Google and do a search on:
db2 and registry variables --- It will lead you to this as well as to
other places, including the actual pages of the DB2 Documentation.

HTH, Pierre.
