How do I put .wav files in a zip file my client emailed me?

I'm a complete neophyte, but I need to send a client some .wav files and he emailed me a zip file attachment and told me to "put the .wav files in this file" and email him that I'd done that.

Don't want to come off as totally ignorant, but how do I "put" a file in that attachment...I can't even open it except to what look like hieroglyphics. I saved it in a fold, but do not know how to get my .wav files into that attachment. I'm supposed to send them by noon Nov. 6!
Thanks very much to anyone who can help!

Pam,

Try saving the file to disk, then dragging the .WAV files on top of it.

Next, check your work by browsing through the .ZIP file once the files are all copied.

Finally, you can mail the updated file back to your client.
