UUID in C++

Hi!
Can somebody point me to open source code for uuid generation in C++.
Or to a bare-minimun library which

provides me with this facility.
Also, can someone elaborate on the strategy used by ACE for UUID
generation. Is it in conformance to RFC

4122.
Thanks,
Sudhanshu

"UUID" is not defined in C++. Please use your favourite web search
engine to locate whatever libraries you need. Try OSF or SourceForge
as well.
