On Windows 2000 this program should do the trick - try it:

#inlcude <stdio.h>
int main()
{
for(;;)printf(" \b");
}

Unfortunately, his program won't compile, due to the typo in the
#include directive :(

Hi, I am currently implementing a solver for linear optimization problems using the revised simplex method and I stumbled accross some strange behavior regarding the treatment of the number 0. I am not sure whether this is compiler or language related though. The first problem is, that there are two representations of zero, namely +0 and -0. Does IEEE for floating points allow this? Maybe I didn't activate IEEE floating point numbers?

Hi, I am having a problem regarding use of a treeview. The problem is whether it is possible to set a default position to the scrollbar so that if any of the treenode contains the text bigger than the size specified for the treeview the scroll doesn't move to the treeview max size and display the end of the node's content but should stay at some specified position and user may move it later to view entire text.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
