How to convert int to string?

Hi!. I've read some FAQS and manuals but I can not find something I
supposed a priori to be very easy: How can I convert an int type to a
string one.

I explain a bit more. I'd like to do something like this:

int error_number;
string warning;
warning = string("Ocurred error number") +
¿convert_to_string?(error_number);

I knew that Java had a method called .toString, is there anything
similar in C++?.

Thank you,

Javi.
