Sound Triggering

Hello NG,

I need some kind of triggering mechanism while capturing audio. I don't
need to know the audio data itself, but I need to know, at which point
in time the audio level climbs above a specific value.

What's the easiest way to do that? Do I have to read in some samples in
order to calculate each peak that was reached? And do that again and
again? Or is there some library in the internet, that can do audio
triggering?

Thanks in advance!

Greetings,
Markus Sons

C++ has no such thing. You need to ask in a newsgroup for your OS.

Check the comp.dsp newsgroup, or search for "audio DSP" on your favorite
search engine.
