This can just as easily be answered as "which car is the best"? You have to
clarfiy your OS, what you mean by best (fastest compile time, fastest code,
smallest executable, most inspiring error messages, most standard adhering,
.....).

The real problem is that people were sucked in by that first
statement, eager to expound on the virtues of their compiler of
choice, and missed the obvious clues that the post's sole goal was to

It's very smart spam actually. I suspect they read old messages in
groups, and re-use the subject lines. ("Best C++ Compiler" was
discussed before). Makes me think these guys have earned their bread
today. Keep it up!
