Can someone explain me what an interface in C++ is.
Is that just about the data encapsulating capability of C++ classes?

Q1:
What happens when you apply parenthesis to the class type name? Is the
constructor for the class called and returns an object?, or what?
in main...:
MyClass();

I am reading in io input using 'cin' in a do-while loop. But the
error bit apparenlty keeps getting set, leaving the console in a
"frozen" state until I hit enter twice.
How do I reset this error bit?
Thanks.

Hello,
I have a question about what kind of datastructure to use. I'm reading
collumn based data in the form of:
10\t12\t9\t11\n
24\t11\t4\t10\n
.....
I now have a structure which allows me to access the data like this:
x->row.coll.value.d;

I remember from C that you are not supposed to access different
members of a union at the same time?
It seems to say the same thing in the C++ standard (9.5.1)
"In a union, at most one of the data members can be active at any
time, that is, the value of at most one of the data members can be
stored in a union at any time."
What does it...

Is this the correct way to think of "base class"?
The "base class" is a class from which other classes are derived.
The "base class" will never be derived from another class.

Running a MPI program that segfaults.
Cannot open program up in debugger due to nature of MPI system.
Using g++ 3.2.3.
Goal:
Find out which line it segfaults on; ideally which variable name causes
the error. Some kind of error message akin to VC7's "stack corrupted
