C# Combobox item selection

Hello everybody...

I am using the following code for my Combo Box.

 
            comboBox1.Items.Add("ABC");
            comboBox1.Items.Add("DEF");
            comboBox1.Items.Add("GHI");
 
 

Now what i want is when i load the form the first value of Combo Box already Selected Please help me in this regard...

i want to do some thing like that

 
            comboBox1.Items.Add("ABC")Selected;//When i debug it shows error
            comboBox1.Items.Add("DEF");
            comboBox1.Items.Add("GHI");
 
 

I dont know how to write the statement comboBox1.Items.Add("ABC")Selected;

please help me...

I believe you want to set the SelectedIndex property.

For your case, since the one you want selected is the first item, you could use:

comboBox1.SelectedIndex = 0;
