FormView Databainding

I think that I'm asking something impossible. It's about 3 hours that
I'm looking around for a stupid sample.

I've a formView binded at a datasource. I then want to access to the
content of a specific field of the binded datasource just in the
codebehind, get that value, do something, leave the binding process go
ahead.

It seems impossible. The only way I've found is create a control, eval
the value on it, change in the databinding event and hide it.

Does it works in this way, or am I missing something?

Thanks
Andrea
