Common area dor dlls ?

UJ
Is there a way to make a common place for directories other than the Windows
folder? I have a group of dlls used by multiple programs that when I update
them, I need to have all the apps use the new version (specifically there's
a class that holds my messages for a message queue and everybody needs to be
using the same version of them.)

TIA - Jeff.

For .NET you want to use the GAC and edit the app config files where
necessary to use the new version.

Hello, I'm trying to print the content of a RichTextBox from my VB 6 app. What I want is that the CommonDialog shows up, the user selects a printer and the content of the RichTextBox prints to the selected printer. I'm not concerned about the text format. What I tried is something like this CommonDialog1.ShowPrinter

I have a large enterprise application. It involves 50 - 100 seperate .exes and several thousand class library assemblies. We want to group the .exes in their own directories with the .dlls they use. There are about 100 utility assemblies that are commonly used by multiple programs. We would like to keep these in a single directory and let all the...

I am evidently not very good at C++ so please excuse me if this is a dumb question... My attempts to do this so...

I was just looking at a demo training that mindleaders has on .net training: http://www.mindleaders.com/products/democourse3.asp And I don't believe this is correct or at least is misleading to me: "The search for an easy, productive, and very powerful programming language led to the birth of Visual C#. Scenario: This is about debugging server side scripts that make calls to middle-tier business DLLs. The server side scripts are legacy ASP 3.0 pages, and the DLLs are managed DLLs converted/developed with VB.NET. What I want from debugging is to be able to step into the methods in the DLLs called from ASP scripts using Visual Studio .NET. ...

I have several ASPX pages (with code-behind logic) that I reuse amongst many Web sites on the same production server. Currently each Web site has its own copy of these aspx pages. I was thinking that it might be a good idea to move these common aspx pages to a new folder and then make them accessible via a new virtual directory in each Web...

I have learned about compartmentalizing my code base using Class Libraries. I have my common code such as my ORM framework broken out into their own Class Libraries, which are referenced as projects from my Website. I also have a common set of DLLs I use across all of my applications. It would be great if I could put all of those DLLs into...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
