Hi all,
does someone know a good resource which describes the differences between
MS' new "Express" editions vs. the full-fledged VisualStudio2005?
-I didn't find a good in-deep comparison on the web till now, so I hope
for your analysis.
tnx,

As soon as my header get over a few hundreds lines modifying them becames a
pain, VS.NET keeps frozing... (presumably to parse the header).

Can anyone tell me if there is a solution to the following problem.
I have an application that uses MSDE, I cant use SQL Express because we
still need to support Windows 98. In VS2003 the bootstrapper plugin allowed
us to install MSDE but now we have changed over to VS2005 there doesnt seem
to be an option to do this. I could probably create...

It seems that windows file systems can have files dated to 1617, and
unfortunately if you call _findfirst/_findnext on such a directory,
msvcr80d will assert.
Is there some provision for changing msvcr80d so that this assert
doesn't happen?
Debug Assertion Failed!

Sorry for asking what must be a FAQ, but I wasn't able to find the
answer.
I have an XML document fragment which I want to store as a text string.
I want a function to convert any XML special characters such as < >
into
the corresponding character entities. I'm working with Java.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not.
