How to do image transition for screensaver?

I'm working on a screensaver and I want to be able to switch between images
smoothly. Currently, it shows one image and after X seconds, it moves to the
next pic. Is there any way I can add some effects without going crazy
writing code? They don't have to be complex. As a matter of fact, the simpler
they are, the better. I just don't want the image to just show up.

Hi VMI,

You will probably have to write GDI+ code. Specifically, the ColorMatrix and
ImageAttributes class would help. But note that this could be slower when
working in big images.
