How do you use CDATA with XML

I need to store data similar to the following in an XML file:

<b>Today's Message</b>
<font color=red>Some text goes here....</font>

I am trying to store data that is a daily devotional. My web hoster
only supports MS Access databases and Access only has memo fields which
can store 255 characters or more. Some of my devotionals will be over
255 characters. They will also be written with an Rich Text Format
Editor from within an ASPX page adn then converted to HTML. My only
option for storing this data is an XML file. I was told that I might be
able to store "HTML" data in an XML file using the CDATA tags.

Does anyone know what is required to do this or do you have an example?
Do you use an XML reader and writer to read and write the data?

Thank you,
Marty
