guid question

Hello:

I notice that if a Guid is declared as follows,

// code sample
public Guid EntityID;

then the following statment evaluates to true even before the guid is
initialized:

// code sample
EntityID.ToString().Length == 36

So how does one determine if a guid has not been intialized and is "empty"?

Thanks,
Chris
