VS.NET: Using custom compilation switches?

Maybe not the best place for this question but there isn't much traffic thru
the vsnet.general ng.

We have a shared web application project and one of the guys has specified
his own custom compilation switch. He has declared it in the project
properties along with the pre-exsiting "TRACE;DEBUG;" switches. I assume
that in order to disable his debug code I must remove/invalidate this
declaration, but how do I do that without checking out the project file from
VSS?

TIA
