Racism is the belief of 1[b], the (false) belief that a particular (usually
the offender's own) race is superior to others. There is no "belief" or
"disbelief" associated with 1[A], it is simply a known fact, and not
believing it is like believing the Earth's flat. You can't argue that
carribbean people like different music to, say, chinese, and that
aboriginal's are going to be a lot better at carving wooden totem poles than
others.

1. [A] The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or
ability [b] and that a particular race is superior to others.
2. Discrimination or prejudice based on race.
What is the word to use if you believe 1[A] but not 1[b] ???
