Strange behavior in tabstrip control - bug?

Hello:

If this is common knowledge I apologize - I have spent
over an hour trying to find answers to this issue and have
come up short.

I have a C# windows forms test application with a tabstrip
control. The control has 3 tab pages. The size of the
control ensures that only two are visible at one time and
the third is partially visible. If I click on the
partially visible tab, the event handler I have for the
control doesn't fire. If the tab is fully visible it does
fire. The event handler is defined as:

this.tabControl1.Click += new System.EventHandler
(this.tabControl1_Click);

and all I have in this event right now is:

MessageBox.Show(tabControl1.SelectedIndex.ToString ());

The messagebox shows every time if the selected tabpage is
fully visible, but not if it is partially visible.

Is there a resolution to this?

Thanks,
Andrew
