TreeNode and ImageIndex

My TreeView has an ImageList associated with it. The ImageIndex of the
TreeView itself is set to -1. As I add nodes to the TreeView, I set
their ImageIndex to -1 or a handful of other values. The nodes with an
ImageIndex of 0 or greater show correctly while all the nodes with an
ImageIndex of -1 show as if their ImageIndex property is set 0.

How do I get around this?
