Application Question

Hi,

I am currently trying to design a good way to persist UI and other
application data. This data will be persisted to an XML file or a db. The
question is should I use a strong typed dataset? What is the costs of a
strong typed dataset? I usually create datasets at runtime and do not know
the costs of a dataset created at design time. I am also looking for some
help on the design. Currently, I have altered MS UIP application block but
did not include the state object. I do not want to persist the data until
the user wants to save it to file. So, I am thinking of creating a state
object that has a hashtable which saves each object into memory and then
when the user wants to save it invokes a method in the state object to save
each object. Ideas would be appreciated!

Thanks
