Remote Registry access

I'm having trouble finding information on remote registry
access.

I work in a multi-domain environment and have created an
application which uses code along the line of ..

RegistryKey.OpenRemoteBaseKey(RegistryHive.LocalMa chine,
remoteName).OpenSubKey(@"Software")

This work's fine if the account used has permissions and I
can do what I need reading / writing etc....

But if the machine is in a different domain, I want to
pass credentials from the application to open the remote
registry (thus not requiring the user to logoff and back
on again with a different account), but I can't find
anything anywhere that explains this to me, or even starts
to point me in the correct direction.

...and help appreciated.
