converting date format

prasad vjp
Hi guys,

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. public string Getdate(string tbText)
  2. {
  3.
  4.   String OutputText = String.Empty;
  5.
  6.   if (String.IsNullOrEmpty(tbText))
  7.   {
  8.     OutputText = DateTime.Now.ToString("dd");
  9.   }
  10.   else
  11.   {
  12.     DateTime date1 = DateTime.Parse(tbText);
  13.     OutputText = date1.Day.ToString();
  14.   }
  15.
  16. return OutputText;
  17.

I have written the above code.
The result gives in the else part is is mm/dd/yy.
But I want it to be in "dd/mm/yy" form.
How is it possible to do this?

It's pretty simple to accomplish this.
All you have to do is provide the date format to the ToString method.

Like this:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. OutputText = date1.Day.ToString("dd/mm/yy");
