MS AJAX issue. Partial update does not work with default button.

I have posted my issue in detail on the asp.net forum. Here is the

You will see there my sample ASP.NET code. It is as simple as it can
get.

Basically, it works in the VS environment, but not on my target
machine, and I am at wit's end. Any help would be much appreciated.
