VS2005 minimum spec

Hi guys

Anyone know what the minimum / recommended spec for Visual Studio 2005 Pro
will be?

I'm looking at buying a new laptop, and I want to be able to run VS, so I
can fix small bugs and stuff while at clients.

Cheers

The "official" system requirements are at :
http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/vs2005...s/default.aspx

But you can't go wrong if you get a 3Ghz processor,
a 120GB HDD and 2GB ram. ;-)

Seriously, 128-256MB is not good enough. Get at least 512MB.

You will need much more room than the 2.5GB they state, too.
Create at least a 10GB partition to install VS.NET into.

Tip: install VS.NET to a different drive, not to the system drive.
That will keep your boot drive cleaner/lighter.

And, 600-1Ghz processor speed will seriously disappoint you.
Get at least a 2Ghz processor; faster than that if you can.
