Call Client's DLL File

Can .NET webpage call Client's computer's DLL file (a dll file that is
located on client's computer) when the client click on a particular button
on the page? If so, how can we do it? Any reference or example? TQ

Allowing a Web page to run code on the client would create serious security
issues.

Once possible way is to create an ActiveX component, embed it in the Web
page and convince the user to install it despite security warnings. The
component would need to know what resources it requires.

For a .NET method, you may need to wait until ASP.NET 2.0:
