Shareing user web controls across projects

Is it possible to create web users controls which can actively be used on
multiple projects? similarly to how a winforms user control can be used in
multiple project when referenced. What I want to do is create user controls
that contain the templates for my projects but i want to be able to
simotaniously update the templates across the sites at once (all located on
the same domain) so then i could have just one copy of the user controls in
a single library instead of multiple copies thanks

There is no supported way to share a user control between projects.
For that kind of functionality you should create a custom control instead.
